Mobile Application

Push Notifications

If you use our mobile app and enable notifications, we store a device push token so we can send you push notifications, such as tee-time invitations. You can turn off notifications at any time in your device settings.

In-App Account Creation and Deletion

You can create an account directly in the app. You can also permanently delete your account at any time from within the app (Clubs tab → Account → Delete account). Deleting your account removes your personal information — including your name, email address, phone number, and location — and removes your club memberships. Certain de-identified records may be retained as permitted or required for our legitimate business purposes or by law.

• Never Displayed: Your phone number is never shown to other users, group members, or club administrators
• Never Sold or Shared: We do not sell, rent, or share your phone number with third parties for marketing purposes
• Limited Access: Only our SMS delivery service provider (Twilio) receives your phone number for the sole purpose of delivering messages you have opted into
• Secure Storage: Phone numbers are stored in our encrypted database alongside your other account information

What Data Twilio Receives

When you opt in to SMS alerts, our service provider Twilio processes:

• Your phone number (for delivery)
• Message content (tee time details and response links)
• Delivery status and timestamps

Twilio does not receive your name, email, personality type, or any other profile information. Twilio's own privacy practices are governed by their privacy policy.

Data Retention

• Your phone number is retained as long as your account is active
• If you opt out, your phone number remains in your profile but is no longer used for messaging
• If you delete your account, your phone number is permanently removed from our systems
• SMS delivery logs are retained by Twilio per their data retention policies

Your SMS Rights

• Opt Out Anytime: Reply STOP to any message, toggle off in Profile Settings, or contact support@mygolftype.com
• Re-subscribe: Reply START to any previous MyGolfType message, or toggle on in Profile Settings
• Get Help: Reply HELP to any message or email support@mygolftype.com
• Deletion: Request complete removal of your phone number by emailing privacy@mygolftype.com
